HE John Dramani Mahama, former President of Ghana and Leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

• John Dramani Mahama is a Ghanaian politician who served as President of Ghana from 24 July 2012 to 7 January 2017. He previously held the position of Vice President of Ghana from January 2009 to July 2012 and assumed the presidency on 24 July 2012 after the passing of his predecessor, John Atta Mills.
• Apart from his political career, Mahama is a communication expert, historian, and writer. He represented Bole Bamboi in Parliament from 1997 to 2009 and served as Minister of Communications from 1998 to 2001.
